Want to take in some theatre and support the local art scene? Then don’t miss “The Illusion” at the Round House Theatre in Silver Spring! You can catch the dazzling show, being put on by Forum Theatre, until its closing night June 16.
The play, written by Tony Kushner, is about a man’s quest for understanding, and how his journey plunges him into romance, suspense and even murder. At points, it forces the audience to explore the depths of its own psyche and motives. With touches of fantasy and impressive theatrics to render the play’s sorcery utterly believable, “The Illusion” will have you on the edge of your seat. And in typical Kusnher style, the audience leaves the theatre wondering what was real and what was, well, just an illusion.
“The dreamlike optimism that suffuses the play, and the all-around strength of the cast and creative team, makes it a vision that’s a real joy to behold,” Washingtonian Magazine said of the play.
